Topic: Supply Chain Management

Gestion De La Relation Client

Today, business competition is no longer company vs. company but logistics vs. supply chain. A supply chain is a network of suppliers, factories, warehouses, distribution centers and retailers, by which recycleables are acquired, transformed, produced and brought to the consumer. A supply chain can be a dynamic process and necessitates the constant flow of information, materials, and money across multiple functional areas both within and between chain members. Member enterprises in the chain need to cooperate making use of their partners to get to know customers' needs and to enhance their profit. Managing multiparty collaboration in a supply chain, however, is a very difficult task as there are a lot of parties active in the logistics operation, each using its own resources and objectives. There's no single authority over all the chain members. Cooperation is thru negotiation as opposed to central management and control. The interdependence of multistage processes also requires real-time cooperation functioning and decision-making across different tasks, functional areas, and organizational boundaries in order to handle problems and uncertainties. The strategic shift of focus for mass customization, quick response, and quality service can't be achieved without newer cooperation and dynamic formation of supply chains.

The provision Chain Management (SCM) problem can be thought as the control over relationships across a supply chain to capture the synergy of intra- and inter-company business processes using the purpose of optimizing the overall business process of the enterprise (e.g. on-time delivery, quality assurance, and cost minimization). A built-in distributed production-planning system for this supply chain (SC) coordinated and controlled centrally would cause a lots of different problems:

 Centers of control are bottlenecks.

Centers must have complete knowledge for decision-making.

Confidential internal information has to be presented to the center.

 Difficult reorganization from the chains.

Planning within the complete supply chain can be extremely complex.

Data consistency isn't guaranteed in decentralized structures.
